Beautiful Flowers That Heal
Beautiful Flowers That Heal
Through history and modern times, we have used flowers for their healing potential. More than just a pretty face, flowers are perfect homeopathic alternatives to modern medicine. Creating several flower essences that holistically heal, Dr. Edward Bach began his work at the turn of the century and it has been advanced by several others of the years. Rather than working directly on our bodies, flower essences heal our spirits that then lend in healing our bodies.
Choosing the best and most pure flowers, the maker of essences infuses them with spring water and preserves them in alcohol. Spiritually cleansing yourself beforehand will help you choose which flower is best to use.
With many different essences available, it is important to pick the one right for your need. Most commonly, flower essences treat such maladies and emotional pain like grief, abandonment, and anger. However, there does not have to be a problem because flower essences can also stimulate spiritual growth, inner talents, communication skills, and intuition.
Essences can be used alone or in combination with others for increased effectiveness in promoting increased focus, success at business or relationships, healing after divorce or death. Examples of useful essences include rapa-nui, which heals wounds of past lives and creates wisdom. Pink hybrid flowers increase joy in life. Purple orchids focus examination of the soul. Gulga refocuses your life's purpose. Cedar lends strength and stability. Each essence, however, will offer something different to each person. If your intuition is not fully developed, you can use energy dowsing to help choose which essence you need.
Although flower essences can be used in many ways, the traditional method is to put two drops under the tongue three times a day for a month. This can be done more frequently for an increased effect. Instead of internal ingestion, you can place the drops on pulse points or mist them over the body. Having the smell dispersed through the room or carried in a bottle can also create an effect for some people. If you are sensitive to the alcohol used to preserve the essence, you can use it externally or dissolve it in a hot drink to evaporate the alcohol.
Used in conjunction with mediation, flower essences create a powerful effect. Placing a drop under your tongue as you meditate will stimulate your thoughts and feelings. Following each thought without judgment, you can move to new thoughts as they become too powerful. Once finished, you will feel invigorated by the experience.
Journaling your progress, you can track the slow process of healing. Journals should include thoughts, feelings and dreams to help you review things you may not otherwise notice. Using essences can affect your dreams; for example, Peruvian orchid will create vivid images in your dreams. Harmless, essences can be used without fear of overdose or interaction with other medications or foods. Since essences are purely for spiritual, personal growth, they are not used to treat any medical or psychological condition.
