A romantic vacation is a time for a couple to leave behind the stress and commitment of daily life to be able to just enjoy being with each other.  A romantic vacation can happen almost anywhere, but some placers seem to lend themselves better to the romantic aura one wishes to achieve on this type of vacation.

Another aspect of a romantic vacation is lodging.  Some couples may wish to go all out with a luxury suite.  Others may prefer the simplicity of a bed and breakfast or a cottage..  There are also themed hotels that offer special romantic rooms.  A couple may even want to relive their honeymoon and go with a honeymoon suite.

A romantic vacation can be almost any type of trip.  It can be a cruise, an outdoor adventure or even be at an amusement park.  The deal romantic vacation will differ with each couple.  It is important for a couple to plan the trip together.  They should go over everything together from food to lodging.  It should be a team effort so one person does not end up with all the work of planning and become bored with the whole idea.  It will then become more of a chore than something to look forward to.

Perhaps, the most important aspect though, is that they truly make it a vacation.  They should leave behind everything from their daily lives and focus only on one another.  A romantic vacation should be something that allows the couple to spend every minute with each and enjoying the company of each other.  It should not be the type of vacation that is rigidly scheduled.  The couple should be able to be flexible and do what they feel like doing, not do what they feel they should do just because it is on the schedule.
